Real-time features such as chat and video calls also suffered from latency and dropped connections.
Solution
Designed and implemented a scalable architecture using Kubernetes and Docker for containerized deployments, Redis caching for faster data retrieval, and Apache Kafka for event-driven data processing. Optimized MySQL queries with proper indexing and sharding strategies. Introduced horizontal scaling with load balancers to handle peak traffic efficiently.

Problem
The RMG sector’s HRMS platform was operating on MSSQL with a 90GB+ database, facing high licensing costs, poor scalability, and performance issues during payroll and attendance processing. Solution
Planned and executed a seamless migration from MSSQL to MySQL 8.0 with zero data loss. Performed schema redesign, data normalization, and optimized queries for HRM, payroll, and attendance modules. Used chunk-based migration for handling 90GB+ of records, and applied read replicas with Redis caching to support concurrent processing.
